Managing Director
Tom heads Monument’s strategic investment and marina improvement initiatives. Prior to leading the team at Monument, he spent over 15 years in the real estate sector, advising to acquire and improve portfolios of many different property types. An avid sailor, water skier, and all-around water enthusiast, Tom combines his professional experience and lifelong passions to build Monument’s portfolio.
Tom is a native of the Mid-Atlantic region, with roots in Oahu, Hawaii. In 2022, Tom fulfilled a long-time dream of racing in the Newport-Bermuda “Thrash to the Onion Patch” aboard a Swan 45. These days, you can find him chasing after his two young daughters, followed closely by their dog. Tom earned his Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Senior Project Manager
Brendan brings attention to detail and cohesion to each of our projects. Before Monument, he was a capital project manager focused on large-scale renovations across the East Coast, Washington state, California, and Hawaii.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and, from there, applied his knowledge of design to his work in the construction industry. He’s worked on projects ranging from high-end homes to historic renovations and multi-family properties.
He’s taught sailing to beginners and experts alike and loves all aspects of marina life. His favorite memory is getting married to his beautiful wife on the waterfront at the Occoquan Marina in Virginia
